The Jason Barnett Baby History
Back in 1991, Jason met a beautiful girl by the name of Kristi. They courted and became very fond of one another. But in 1992 they found themselves in quite a predicament, as some teenagers do these days. We were 17 years old and pregnant!!
We weighed all of our options and decided on placing the baby for adoption since we could not care for a baby the way he/she would deserve. As we look back, we feel blessed to have been in that situation and to have experienced this. We grew closer and eventually we married in 1996. Soon after that, in 1998 Bradley was born. We moved back to Indiana and promptly got pregnant and had Madalyn in 2001.
We soon knew after Madalyn we were open to having more children. Though, with some fertility issues we tried for 4 years to get pregnant with Gabrielle, born in 2007. Now, 8 months after she was born, we were surprised and blessed again with a new baby, due on February 2nd of 2009!!
Sadly, Michael Matthew was born too early, only 15 weeks old. He was able to live for 1/2 an hour, which is unheard of at that age. We were blessed to be able to spend 30 minutes with our new son, but saddened when he died in our arms. Only 15 weeks old, 5.5 inches long and weighing 2 oz! He will be laid to rest on August 12th 2008 at 11:00am.
Great news on 12/5/2009. Ian Joseph was born and is full of spunk. He was due on 11/26, but really wanted to take his time coming into the world. We ended up at the hospital with Ian, with some pain and heart complications w/ Kristi. But everything’s great and Ian nurses like a mad man!
So, for those of you doing the math, that is:
Baby #1, Maverick; born and placed for adoption 12/1992.
Baby #2, Bradley; an athletic boy born 10/1998.
Baby #3, Madalyn; an energetic girl born 5/2001.
Baby #4, Gabrielle; calm, sweet girl born in 9/2007.
Baby #5, Michael, amazing gift, born and died 8/7/2008
Baby #6, Ian, born 12/2009
