Well. This summer has been busy, but it looks as though July and August will be so busy I’m not sure if sleep will be possible. I’m really enjoying my new responsibilities at IU and all the XSLT and PHP I’m doing, but with the amount of work to do during my “day job” my other job, iBarnett is starting to get pushed back later and later at night/morning.

Hi all. Well, the kids are sick again this week, and the hardest one to deal with is Gabby right now. She has a bad cough and congestion that isn’t allowing her to sleep well at night, which in turn, doesn’t let Kristi or I sleep at night. So, this week is turning out to be quite a challenge as I try to work through iBarnett deadlines and “interviews” with the company in South Carolina.
The job in South Carolina didn’t quite work out for us. The fit just wasn’t there exactly. The company is great and is exactly what I see myself doing, even if iBarnett were to take off and I were to do iBarnett full-time. But, with a big move like that, housing is much more expensive, and just trying to give up good IU benefits just didn’t work out financially for us. But, as anyone who knows me, when Fall/Winter roll around again, I’ll be looking for work in the south! But, Indiana seems to be getting into springtime weather now, so I should stay sane for the next few months.

Well, iBarnett is growing very fast. I have been able to partner with some top companies in Indianapolis, Ohio and New York. Though a project didn’t workout with another potential partner in Minnesota, I am confident other opportunities with them will surface.
Right now I am wrapping up 3 eCommerce websites and continuing to tweak a CMS site that I recently launched. Upcoming projects include another CMS with eCommerce capabilities, Flash development mainly doing the ActionScript that will interact with MySQL and XML. Also some smaller PHP-MySQL development here and there.
Right now I am in the middle of developing a logo for iBarnett, something I’ve been meaning to do this for a while. If anyone has some ideas, feel free to leave some comments, or just email me directly. [[ Jason@iBarnett.com ]]
Well, back to watching NCAA tourney online. Gotta love CBS broadcasting online.
