Fat and Hot

It’s been 90+ degrees lately, and though I’ve always loved this kind of weather, being fatter than I have ever been before, I’m not enjoying it now. So, yes, again I will claim to lose weight on my blog. I signed up for the “Step into Fit” program at IU and have a pedometer. Now, I need to figure out a way to trick this thing so it looks like I walked a lot.

Summer Busyness

Well, summer is starting up and our busy schedule is filling up to capacity. With horseback riding lessons, baseball games, yardwork, iBarnett work, IU work, Regnum Christi, toddler stage for Gabby, and new baby things it’s shaping up to be super busy this summer.

So, on the fat end of things. I’ve reached an all-time high (or low, depending on how you look at it). I’m the heaviest I’ve ever been. 230 lbs now! So, almost able to be “The Biggest Loser” contestant, but not quite there. So, I’m looking at doing a few home-workout things to get started. Affording a gym membership and my major time-constraints just won’t work in my schedule yet. I’ll need to sleep at some point, not wanting to cut into the 4-6 hours a night I get now. So, anyone out there with a good home-remedy for fat-man syndrome, let me know. Here’s what I’m looking at as possibilities so far:

wax paper

So. I was wondering, when do you decide to get serious about losing all your fatness and getting healthy? Is it when you are eating a BLT Pita from the Pita Pit, wrapped in their wax-paper to keep juices from falling onto my belly (because my belly can hang over and protect it from getting to my keyboard)? Is it when you are eating along and notice a big bite mark out of the paper and you didn’t even realize you ate a mouthful of wax paper along with the 2-inch thick bacon blob in the pita?

I think I know the answer, but I’m curious to see what other people think about when should you get serious about getting health and slimming down?

I mean, I was just 160 lbs 2.5 years ago. Now 220 lbs. Yes, that seems like “Wow, you really porked up there buddy!”; and yes, I did. But really, I mean, what am I to do? I have a broken back, I hate running, but I do love to sweat. But being fat allows you to sweat even when you don’t move! Sometimes, on a hot day, you can just sweat from the shear insulation of your fatness. Oh, yes, so nice!

Not to mention, I’m sure my wife loves to see a fat, hairy guy chase her around the house saying “C’mon baby, give me some suga!”. I know I would! (LOL).

Anyway, may the phat be with you, but hopefully not the fat.

still need to get my ‘f’ to a ‘ph’ + other random stuff

Still Fat….
Well, I haven’t started my fat trim-down yet. I think next week will be the start. I just have so much iBarnett work that I can’t seem to get a free moment to do anything right now. So, my Fat is still Fat, but I will replace my “F” with a “PH” soon, and bring back the PHat. I’ll be “brining phatty back”.

Phunny stuff…
Also, if anyone is interested, South Park is now offering all their episodes online, for free. Go to southparkstudios.com and you’ll see. I just watched the latest episode, it’s pretty funny!!

The kids…
I have a new site that I will be posting photos of the iBarnett family, mainly the kids. They are some cute little people, so keep checking back! http://kids.ibarnett.com

Dream State, SC…
Ok, I found a job finally in my dream location I want to live, Beaufort South Carolina. It’s for a cool company IDMPrint. The job is a web developer position and all the skills that I possess. So, wish me luck. Tomorrow I am going to Adoration at church to discuss it with the man upstairs and see what I should actually be doing. So, if I get the sign to go for it, watch out! I’m finally going to live where it is warm all year!!

– may the phat be with you all –

fat != phat

Ok everyone. I am sick of being fat (not phat). Just 1 1/2 years ago I was at my lightest, 163 lbs. Now, I have gained a few pounds, up to 213 lbs. Either I go on Biggest Loser, or I need to get working out again. One issue is that I eat all night while working at iBarnett.

Well,  I’ll keep everyone posted. I hope to start something by Monday. After a weekend of binge lounging and eating.

– may the phat (not fat) be with you –
