Well, iBarnett’s HP dv9000 laptop finally is not working out for me anymore. It’s 2 years old, time for a new rotation of equipment. I really really wanted an Apple MacBook Pro but I could not justify the cost compared to a deal I got through DELL for a XPS 630 desktop (8GB Ram, 640GB Harddrive, QuadCore Intell Processor, nVidia GeoForce GTX280 video card w/ 1GB Ram, Dual 48x DVD/CD burners, Speakers, NO MONITOR).  I got much more power and computer for about $400 less. I know, I know, the Mac is a much superior machine, but I just had bad luck with these laptops lately, and couldn’t afford the Mac Pro. Maybe when iBarnett makes its first million?

It should arrive on Thursday the 26th, but my dv9000 will be sold on eBay and be shipped by Monday. So, I will have a few days there with no computer. I’m sure Kristi and the kids will love that!! Though, on the 26th, I am paying my family to leave for the evening so I can put together my new toy and get it all setup!!!

Anyway, just wanted to get y’all up-to-date on iBarnett’s equipment matters. It took me a good 1.5 weeks to come to the decision after configuring computers online about 100 times.

Anyone out there have a new Mac they want to give me? Being Mr. dumb dumb, I read on Apple’s site that the SDK is for Macs only. I need me a Mac! I hope they come out with the Exchange software soon. That is what I’m most excited about.

Well, tonight I’m working again. Hoping to finish a bit early, so I can get my beauty rest for my birthday tomorrow. Yeah, it’s my birthday tomorrow, 3/8, and I’m still Phat as ever! Maybe even Phatter. I hear the Phatness gets larger and easier to get as you get older.

Speaking of older. I have been chosen to be on the cover of a magazine at work and, I found out that other people were asked but turned down because they looked too young. I was “perfect for the shoot” is what I was told. But now it’s kind of depressing to realize it’s because I look old!
